Aguascalientes'
claim as an ideal tourist and convention destination, rests
on several decisive factors, among them-its geographic position
with no respect to other attractive Mexican cities and resorts;
the balmy semidry weather, blue sky and gorgeous sunsets
vistors can count on almost any day of the year; first rate
hotel capacity, with easy access to our nationally famous
hotsprings, where water is crystalline and therapeutic,
and soothing.
If you are here in the last two weeks of April, or the first
two weeks of May, there is no way you'll miss the San Marcos
National Fair-the whole city come alive with music that
bursts from the heart and spills into the streets. This
fair of fairs has something for everybody-art expositions,
music concerts, plays, Mexican rodeos, bullfights, a gambling
casino, industrial-agricultural-livestock expositions, outdoor
festivities and pageants, and lots of merrymaking. This
is Mexico at its very best-good land, good climate, good
people.
Our hotels, ranging from good to excellent, can lodge more
than 3,000 visitors. With the recent opening of the EXPOPLAZA
(which houses the Exposition Center), Aguascalientes came
to the forefront as a viable world destination for conventions,
congresses, expositions, and meetings.
